It never cease to amaze me how often these get listed. Most days there are at least 10-12 listings, all redirecting to yahoo or gmail addresses.
If your not sure what I mean, check out this guide.

I have been in contact with the author, as we both have the same views on these guys, and spend some time baiting them. At least while they are deaing with me, they are not scamming somebody less naiive! |

A hobby that can quickly eat up all your time.
Off topic, an excellent guide on unlocking phones btw. Anyone interested in unlocking your phone should check out steves review at:

| A lot of scams on ebay seem to involve mobiles. Why is this? |

I think it is fair to say the old rule applies, especially to purchases online, "if it seems too good to be true, it is probably too good to be true".
I think good old fashioned common sense could dismiss about 90% of the scams on eBay and elsewhere. These clowns focus on people's greed, and desire to get a good deal. Often, people feel like that had to have "stolen" it to feel they got a good deal. How often to you hear that? "I stole it from him, I got it for next to nothing".
I don't feel that way. I think fair is the key word in any deal. If the seller is happy, the buyer is happy, both feel it was a fair deal, then I'm satisfied.
Scammers often play on that need people have to get one up on a seller. |
